Anti-sweat Heater Controls for Glass Door Cases Heaters are fitted to all glass door freezer cases to prevent condensation forming and ultimately freezing on the door and frame. Condensation will form on any surface when its temperature is below the ‘dew point’. The heaters on the glass doors and frames are sized for the worst ambient conditions; i.e. when  the dew point is at its maximum which is during the summer months. For most of the year the heater output can be reduced without any detrimental effect and netting significant energy savings.

Condensation forms when surface temperature is below dew point temperature. Icon modulates heater output to maintain frame temperature at a fixed differential above dew point.
